Homemade Chocolate Hummus
Time: 10 minutes; Yields: 6 servings
Cocoa powder and maple syrup turn garbanzo beans into a creamy, chocolately treat.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 15 oz. can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 Tbsp. coconut oil
- 2 Tbsp. sunflower butter (or favorite nut butter)
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup special dark cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Place rinsed garbanzo beans in a food processor. Add coconut oil, sunflower butter and maple syrup. Puree mixture until smooth.
Add cocoa powder and vanilla. Puree again until well incorporated. Serve with graham crackers or fresh fruit.
